WHO WE ARE?

There are four passionate sailing professionals behind this team: We have sailed numerous both offshore and one-design competitions from national to World Championship level.

Onur ERARDAG

Erardag started his sailing career at the Istanbul Sailing Club in 1988. He represented Turkey during several international sailing regattas. He achieved both local and international successes in the Optimist, Europe and 420 classes.

In 2005 , he graduated from Rotterdam Business School in The Netherlands and obtained BA of International Business & Management.

He resumed his sailing career by racing in the Farr 40 Provezza Sailing Team during 2005-2012 and competed in the Rolex Farr 40 World Championship Series in 2011 in USA.

Later he raced in TP52 Super Series between 2012/2013 with Provezza Sailing Team.

Doga ARIBAS

Arıbas embarked on his sailing journey at the age of 13 in 2008 at İstanbul Sailing Club. In 2012, he achieved the remarkable title of Laser 4.7 European Champion during his inaugural appearance as a member of the national team. Transitioning from Laser 4.7, he ventured into various dinghies, encountering the exhilaration of foiling boats. His prowess in sailing led him to secure the title of Red Bull Foiling Generation Turkish Champion, representing Turkey in the World Finals. Additionally, Aribas earned recognition by finishing 3rd in Laser Radial Europeans in 2016. Aribas captained Bilgi Yelken to resounding success at the university level. Under his leadership, the team clinched the National Sportsboat Championship and achieved multiple victories Stepping up to keelboats as a young member of the Eker Sailing Team, Aribas competed internationally in the Melges 32 Series and J/70. Evolving over the years, he assumed the role of tactician, contributing to a notable 3rd place overall finish and Corinthian Championship at the J70 Europeans '22. In the same year, the Eker Team claimed the National Championship and J70 Turkey Tour Championship, adding to their triumph in the Corinthian division at J70 midwinters in Miami in 2020.

Aribas is the proud founder of Doga Aribas Sailing, a sailing school based in İstanbul. Simultaneously, he continues to compete professionally in sportboats and keelboats. Presently, at the age of 27, notably, he clinched victory at the prestigious Bosphorus Cup '22 with a fully amateur crew.

Enes CAYLAK

Caylak has met sailing by dinghies in 2004. Quickly this encounter evolved into his passion of racing. During his youth years He sailed and raced in Optimist, Laser and Pirat Class dinghies until 2010.

During his undergraduate studies, Çaylak has moved onto keelboat racing. He carried on racing internationally including intercollegiate regattas, offshores. Starting from Sportsboats moving up to IRC Classes, Farr40, Swan36; Together with his teams he has won multiple national titles also including some memorable international achievements.

Recently he is focused on international one design racing with J/70 and International Dragon Class.

In addition to his sailing resume, Enes is a Mechatronics Engineer graduated from Sabanci University and currently holds an MBA degree from Boğaziçi University

Arda BAYKAL

Baykal began sailing at Fenerbahçe Sports Club in 1988 and donned the national jersey for the first time at the age of 12. At 14, he achieved 16th place at the Optimist European Championship held in our country, marking the best performance to that date. He reached his first Turkish Championship in the Optimist class in 1995 after a series of successes.

He competed in the 470 class until he went to the United States for his education.

After 2008, he participated in many international races in the Dragon class and won a silver medal with the Provezza team at the World Championship held in Germany in 2022.
